Turn your DVR off when it is not in use, and don’t forget to turn off the power strip that it is plugged into!

Cable modems and routers use power constantly, and they are on all day long. The constant connectivity and blinking lights might not seem like much, but the 10 watts of power that they use at all times can really start to add up.
