The good news is that you can see a dramatic difference in your electric bill by replacing your traditional light bulbs with power saver bulbs. Keep in mind that these power saver bulbs can be pricey, but the initial investment will pay off every single month in your electric bill.
#2. Install smart surge protectors.
Many appliances still use a small amount of energy when they aren’t in use, but if you plug them into a smart surge protector, it’ll automatically turn off when not in use. If you don’t want to spend the money to install smart surge protectors, you could simply unplug your appliances when you aren’t using them.
#3. Use other methods to keep your home cool.
