Improve your bottom line by saving more electricity.
The cost of running a business can be quite steep, and electricity tends to make up for a large part of those day-to-day expenses. That’s why saving more electricity will not only improve your reputation and minimize your footprint, it’ll also help to improve your bottom line. Luckily, this doesn’t have to mean implementing a big, expensive energy management plan. There are lots of little things you can do to save more electricity around your office, and our electrician in Cincinnati has come up with this list of just a couple of them:
#1. Turn off your appliances when you leave.
It’s not uncommon for computers, fax machines, printers and other appliances to be left on all night. Unfortunately, this can use a large amount of unnecessary electricity. Turn off any and all appliances around your office when you leave for the day. It’s also important to unplug things and turn off power strips, as some appliances can still use energy even when they are powered off.
#2. Invest in motion sensors or timers.
It’s always a good idea to turn off lights in empty rooms, but you can’t always rely on your employees to do so. By installing a motion sensor, you can ensure that the light always gets shut off, no matter what. Another option is to install a timer on your lights so that no one has to remember to turn them off at the end of the day.
These are just a couple of the many things you can do to save more electricity in your office. Stay tuned for our next blog to learn more.
